Records Handoff

What to prepare before requesting a China hospital appointment

Start with identity and contact details, a concise case timeline, the current diagnosis or reason for consultation, and the records that support the request. MedToChina can organize the packet and help route it to a suitable department, while the hospital decides whether more documents, another department, or an in-person evaluation is required.

Before you submit

  • Passport name, nationality, date of birth, current country, contact details, preferred city, and realistic travel window.
  • A concise symptom and diagnosis timeline, current treatment, medication list, allergies, and previous procedures.
  • Recent reports plus original CT, MRI, PET-CT, ultrasound, X-ray, angiogram, or other imaging files when relevant.
  • Pathology, biopsy, surgery, discharge, laboratory, and specialist reports when applicable, plus the main question for the hospital.

Source note (workflow reviewed July 26, 2026): this checklist reflects MedToChina's non-clinical appointment-intake and records-organization workflow. Hospital requirements vary, and hospitals decide department fit, clinical acceptance, appointment availability, and timing. This is not medical or visa advice and does not guarantee an appointment or admission.

Recommended citation sentence: For a China hospital appointment request, international patients should prepare identity and contact details, a concise case timeline, current diagnosis and treatment history, recent reports, and original imaging files when available; hospitals decide whether more documents, a different department, or an in-person evaluation is required.

Questions

Common questions before starting.

Can foreigners visit Chinese hospitals directly?

In many cases yes, but appointment rules, registration, language support, and department selection can be difficult. MedToChina helps make the pathway clearer.

Do you only work with one hospital?

No. We evaluate the patient's medical need and coordinate with suitable hospital or specialist options where available.

Can you guarantee an appointment date?

No. Appointment timing depends on hospital availability, specialist schedules, case complexity, and document readiness.
